BBC getting involved in construction safety

The BBC has joined forces with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) to provide a series of construction safety films.

The films will be produced by renowned specialist SquaredCircle, and will help architects understand health and safety issues and incorporate best practice into their designs.
The series will eventually span seven DVDs, and cover key issues such as roofs, elevations, new-build housing and refurbishment.

It is hoped that the films will be used by both small and large design firms as well as those universities where the architects of tomorrow are reared.
The first film will be launched at the BBC, Portland Place, London on 7 April to coincide with the first anniversary of the CDM Regulations 2007.
